Harrogate Gateway Football Club was formed in 1995 and is run by a small group of dedicated volunteers/coaches.

The club is dedicated to the development and provision of football for disabled people in the Harrogate area. It’s aim is to encourage participation regardless of ability and to provide an opportunity for everyone to play at a level which suites them.

The club operates under the umbrella of Harrogate & District Mencap Society and it’s subsequent affiliation to the National Mencap. The club is also affiliated to Special Olympics GB.

These organisatons provide opportunities for our members to play football at Regional, National and International level. HGFC enters teams in various other tournaments and

competitions around the country.The club runs teams at Lower Novice, Novice and Intermediate levels. (Foundation, Introduction & Participation).

HGDFC also plays an integral part in the development and provision of disability football throughout the country, running numerous regional and national football events for organisations such as MENCAP & Special Olympics.
